Temporary 10mph Speed Limit on Bath Road, Langford
Drivers travelling along Bath Road in Langford should be aware of a temporary speed restriction coming into force from 16 March 2026.
North Somerset Council has introduced a temporary 10mph speed limit on a short section of the road while water main works take place. The work is being carried out by Taylor Plant Ltd to install a new water main connection for a nearby housing development.
The restriction will apply on Bath Road from outside Elmgrove Farm for approximately 170 metres heading north-west.
The order allows the restriction to remain in place for up to 18 months. However, the work itself is expected to take around 18 days. The reduced speed limit will only be in place when the works are active, and temporary traffic signs will be displayed.
Emergency service vehicles responding to incidents are exempt from the restriction.
