Temporary Road Closure for Urgent Repairs
North Somerset Council has issued a temporary road closure affecting Church Lane and King Road in Churchill, and Brinsea Batch in Congresbury.
The closure will begin on 9 March 2026 and may remain in place for up to five days. However, the work is expected to take around one working day and the roads will only be closed while the repairs are taking place.
The closure is needed so that urgent carriageway patching can be carried out safely.
Where the closure will be
Church Lane, King Road and Brinsea Batch
From the junction with Churchill Green to the junction with Brinsea Lane
Diversion route
Drivers and cyclists will be diverted via:
Brinsea Lane
Stock Lane
Bristol Road
Dinghurst Road
Front Street
and vice versa.
Signs will be in place while the closure is active.
