Village Diary

Churchill and Langford Village Diary!

Planning an event in Churchill or Langford? Whether it’s a community fundraiser, a village hall coffee morning, or a local club meeting, make sure your date doesn’t clash with other key activities by checking the Village Diary and adding your event to it!

The Village Diary, maintained by the Communications Officer of Churchill Parish Council, is a central calendar designed to help local groups and residents coordinate activities throughout the year. It’s a simple but powerful way to avoid overlapping events, maximise attendance, and support each other’s efforts in building a vibrant, well-connected community.

To ensure your event gets the attention it deserves, and to help others do the same, fill out this form with the details of your event as early as possible. The more we all use the Village Diary, the more effective it becomes.

Let’s work together to keep Churchill’s community life thriving, one well-planned event at a time!

The Parish is fortunate to feature a number of groups and organisations who operate regular events (listed below). Please ensure you consult the groups’ information directly in case their information is out of date here.

Churchill and Langford Minibus Society

Our New Minibus

We are very pleased to invite you to the official launch of our new minibus which will be held at Churchill Methodist Church, Front Street, Churchill, BS25 5NG on Thursday 12th June 2025.

The event will commence at 1315 hours and the cutting of the ribbon will be made by one of our oldest passengers shortly after.

The Minibus Society was started over 50 years ago and we are grateful of the support which the Methodist Church has given us over the years.

The new bus could not have been purchased without the help of many organisations and we will be forever grateful for the help they have given.

The many contributors are National Lottery, Bernard Sunley Foundation, Thatchers Foundation, Freight International Limited, Bristol Airport, The Village Fund, Charles Graham Stones Relief in Need Charity and many other smaller donations.

Every year we get help from all of the local Parish Councils which we serve.

They give us financial support to help us deliver the many trips that we provide for their residents.

The new minibus is a Citroen Relay with 12 seats and a wheelchair lift together with ample room for the various walking aids which are often required.

We would be very pleased to see you at this short but important event and if you are able to come will you please let me know by 1 June 2025 on smallwoodtrevor@gmail.com.

Best wishes

Trevor Smallwood      Chair of Churchill and Langford Minibus Society
