North Somerset Council has confirmed that Dinghurst Road, Churchill will be temporarily closed to vehicles on 8th September 2026 to allow Openreach to carry out cabling work for a new customer connection.
Closure time: 9:30am to 2:30pm
Expected duration: Approximately 5 hours
Location of works:
Dinghurst Road, from the junction with Hillier’s Lane to the junction with Front Street.
Access will be maintained for:
- Emergency services
- Works vehicles
- Properties that can only be accessed via the closed section, where works allow
Although the legal order allows for works within an 18-month period, the road is only expected to be closed for around five hours.
Traffic management and signage will be in place while the closure is active.
