North Somerset Council has advised that Footpath AX14/15/10 in Churchill will be temporarily closed to pedestrians from 26th August 2026.
The closure is required to allow Vistry Homes to carry out excavation works associated with the development, subject to any necessary planning consent.

Expected duration: The current temporary notice covers up to 21 days. However, North Somerset Council has advised that the works are expected to continue for longer than 21 days, so residents should be aware that a further closure arrangement may be required.
Alternative walking route:
A signed alternative route is available via the A38 footway southbound towards Jews Lane, then Footpath AX14/17/10. Continue east along AX14/9/10, which merges into AX14/4/20, before heading north on AX14/8/10 towards Bath Road.
Please follow the signs and avoid entering the closed footpath while works are taking place.
