Parish awardsIn a ceremony held earlier last week, Councillor Bush honoured several outstanding individuals with the Community Champion Awards, recognising their decades of dedication and service to the local community.

Among the awardees was Enid Plumbley, who has been a pillar of the community for over fifty years. Her tireless efforts at the Memorial Hall and her enthusiastic participation in Churchill Skittles have not gone unnoticed, earning her a well-deserved accolade for her long-standing service.

Trevor Smallwood and his dedicated team were also recognised for their crucial role during the pandemic. Their unwavering commitment ensured that residents had continuous access to essential supplies, medicines, and support. Additionally, Trevor’s involvement with the Churchill and Langford Minibus Society has significantly contributed to local community transport solutions.

Ian Beadle, along with the volunteers from the Village Fund, was commended for their successful coordination of community events aimed at fundraising and supporting local residents. Their efforts have bolstered the community spirit and provided vital assistance to those in need.Parish awards
