Impact Alliance

What is Impact Alliance?

The Impact Alliance – Mendip Villages (Banwell, Winscombe & Sandford, and Churchill & Langford), North Somerset – is a pioneering collaboration formed to address escalating social challenges, particularly loneliness and social isolation, which have been worsened by economic, demographic, and environmental pressures.

Initiated by the St Monica Trust and involving over 50 organisations from across sectors including the voluntary, statutory, academic, business, and faith communities, the Impact Alliance aims to transform how regional partners address complex social issues through collective action, innovation, and sustainable funding.

Every one should be connected and valued

To belong – to a family, a tribe, a neighbourhood, a community – is to be human. Loneliness is a natural emotion that we can all experience at different points in life. But when it becomes long-term, it can impact our health, well-being and even life expectancy. It touches every corner of society – age, race, class, and community. By working together to address loneliness, we can strengthen connections, transform lives and build stronger, healthier societies.
