Location: West Hay Road – from the junction with Alburys to outside Grove Cottage
Reason: Emergency pole replacement by Openreach due to safety concerns
North Somerset Council has issued an emergency Temporary Road Closure to allow Openreach to replace a damaged and dangerous telecoms pole, identified as a high-risk safety issue. The works will also restore service to affected users.
🚨 The road will be closed to vehicles for safety during the works.
⚠️ Although the notice allows for up to 21 days, the work is expected to take just 2 days.
🚗 Diversion Route:
Via Wrington Road, Rhodyate Hill, Bristol Road, High Street, Brinsea Road, Stock Lane, Langford Road, Blackmoor, Half Yard, Butts Batch, Station Road, Broad Street, and back to West Hay Road.
