We’re pleased to share an update from North Somerset Council about the Mobile Library service.
The new electric Mobile Library vehicle has now arrived and is ready to go. The team have been working hard to stock it with books and prepare it for service after a long wait.
Thank you to everyone who continued using the interim Mobile Library during this time. We know it wasn’t the same as being able to step on board and browse the shelves, and your patience has been greatly appreciated while the new vehicle was built and delivered.
The switch to an electric vehicle will significantly reduce emissions and fuel costs, supporting wider efforts to protect the environment and build a greener North Somerset.
The new Mobile Library will be out on the roads and visiting villages across North Somerset from Monday 5 January. This is week one of the timetable.
A public launch event is planned and will be shared once details are confirmed.
We hope our residents enjoy welcoming the Mobile Library back to their communities.
