🚶 Temporary Footpath Closure: AX14/41/10, Churchill – March 2026
North Somerset Council has given notice that Footpath AX14/41/10 in Churchill will be temporarily closed to pedestrians from 26th March 2026.
The closure is required to allow Bower & Kirkland to carry out investigative and drainage connection works linked to the proposed school site, subject to planning consent.

An initial closure of approximately 2 weeks

Followed by a further 1 week between March and the end of August, depending on how the works progress
The legal order allows for up to six months, but the footpath will only be closed when works are taking place.
📍 Affected route:
Footpath AX14/41/10 – full extent, or as indicated by on-site signage.
🚨 Access will be maintained for emergency services and where required for works access.
🚶 Alternative routes:
Via Footpaths AX14/34, AX14/32 and Ladymead Lane.
