North Somerset Council has given notice that King Road, Congresbury will be temporarily closed to vehicles and cyclists from 10th July 2026 to allow for essential carriageway patching works.
🕒 Expected duration: 2 working days
Working hours: 9:30am to 3:30pm
⚠️ The legal notice allows for up to 5 days, but the works are expected to be completed within two working days.
📍 Location of works:
From the junction with Church Lane / Churchill Green to the junction with Brinsea Batch / Brinsea Lane
🚨 Access will be maintained for:
- Emergency services
- Residents and properties within the closure, where safe to do so
- Works vehicles
🚗 Alternative route:
Via Front Street, Dinghurst Road, Skinners Lane, Bristol Road and Stock Lane (and vice versa).
Traffic management and signage will be in place while the works are carried out.
