🚧 Temporary Road Closure: Half Yard, Langford – August 2026

North Somerset Council has given notice that Half Yard, Langford will be temporarily closed to vehicles from 24th August 2026 to allow for essential wall reconstruction works.

📅 Expected duration: Approximately 6 days

Blackmoor Bridge on Half Yard

🔨 Reason for the closure:
North Somerset Council will be rebuilding a damaged wall to ensure the safety of road users.

🚨 Access will be maintained for:

  • Emergency services
  • Works vehicles
  • Residents and properties within the closure, where safe to do so

⚠️ Although the legal order allows for works within an 18-month period, the closure is only expected to be in place for around six days while the repairs are completed.

Traffic management and signage will be in place throughout the works.
