Temporary Footpath Closure: AX14/15/10, Churchill – October

North Somerset Council has advised that Footpath AX14/15/10 in Churchill will be temporarily closed to pedestrians from 6th October 2026.

The closure is required to allow Vistry Homes to carry out excavation works associated with the development, subject to any necessary planning consent.

Start date: 6th October 2026

Expected duration: Approximately 2 months, depending on the progress of the works.

Location: The full length of Footpath AX14/15/10, Churchill.

Alternative walking route:

Pedestrians should use the A38 footway southbound towards Jews Lane, then Footpath AX14/17/10. Continue east along AX14/9/10, which merges into AX14/4/20, before heading north on AX14/8/10 towards Bath Road.

The legal order allows the footpath to be closed for a maximum of six months, but the works are currently expected to require a closure of around two months.

Pedestrian signs will be displayed while the closure is in place.
