Sharing information we have had from the BSIP NEC Project Manager – Environment, Assets and Transport Services Directorate.

They will be trialling closing the exit from Ladymead Lane onto A38 from Monday 7th September. This follows correspondence regarding extra traffic using Pudding Pie Lane and Ladymead Lane to avoid queues on A38 during our works at the crossroads, Traffic will still be able to enter Ladymead Lane from A38.

The closure will be run as a trial initially, but is likely to be in place until towards the end of our works in the spring. The closure will be automatically added to SatNav systems, reducing the number of drivers trying to use this route.

Their contractor will be writing to residents of Ladymead Lane and key stakeholders next week. ” No Access to A38″ will be signed from the Stock Lane end of Pudding Pie Lane, with further signing along Pudding Pie Lane to remind drivers that there is no exit to A38.
