Temporary Road Closure: Bypass and Stock Lane, Langford
North Somerset Council has confirmed a temporary road closure affecting the slip road between the A38 Bristol Road and Stock Lane in Langford on 7th October 2026.
The closure is required to allow Openreach to carry out overhead cabling works.

Time: 9:30am to 3:30pm
Expected duration: Approximately 6 hours
Location
The closure will affect the full length of the slip road from the A38 Bristol Road to Stock Lane, covering Bypass and Stock Lane.
HGV access
HGVs turning left for access to Stock Lane will be escorted through the closure.
The order also includes exemptions for emergency services, works vehicles and properties that can only be accessed through the closed section, where the works allow.
Traffic signs will be in place while the closure is active. Please allow extra time for journeys and follow the signed alternative routes.
