A new EV charging point has been installed in the car park outside the Market Kitchen.

A couple of years ago, Churchill and Langford Parish Council was approached about installing an EV charger in the parish. With the area sitting on a major route, the Council felt it would be a useful facility for residents and visitors.

Unfortunately, the company behind the original charger ceased trading before it could be connected, leaving the unit out of use for more than a year.

The Council has since worked with Zolb EV, who removed the old unit and installed a new EV charger in its place.

Drivers can now top up their vehicle while enjoying a coffee at the Market Kitchen, watching a sports match or spending time at the recreation ground.

It’s another useful facility for the community and for people travelling through the parish.
