The developer, Danbywiske, is asking for feedback before submitting planning applications to North Somerset Council.

What is being proposed?

The proposals include up to 170 new homes, employment space, a children’s nursery, a café, a play area and public open space. They also include landscaping, parking and improvements to walking and cycling connections.

The existing mushroom farm would continue operating.

What has already been approved?

According to the consultation leaflet, North Somerset Council granted outline planning permission in March 2025 for up to 120 homes and other uses. Outline permission establishes the broad development proposals, with further details still requiring approval.

This consultation covers two parts:

• Detailed plans for the previously approved development, including the layout, appearance, building sizes and landscaping.
• A separate proposal for around 50 additional homes on undeveloped land to the north-east of the site.

Together, these would bring the total to up to 170 homes.

How can you have your say?

Please submit your comments by 15 November 2026.

If you prefer to respond by post, the leaflet includes a comments section and freepost return details.

You might wish to comment on the layout, access and traffic, walking routes, green spaces, proposed facilities or how the development could affect you.

What happens next?

The developer says it will review feedback before submitting the applications. North Somerset Council will then hold its own consultation, giving residents another opportunity to comment directly to the planning authority.
