Travel information
- Churchill and Sandford footpath closures
Several public footpaths are due to close in phases from Monday 17 August for route-upgrade work. The affected network includes paths connecting:
- Churchill Green and Greenhill Road
- Church Lane and Ladymead Lane
- Ladymead Lane and Broadoak Road
The work is expected to continue for about four months. Individual paths may only close when required. Signs and alternative routes should be provided.

- Half Yard closure from 24 August
Half Yard in Langford is expected to close at Blackmoor Bridge from Monday 24 August. The closure should last around six days while North Somerset Council rebuilds a damaged wall.
Emergency, works and property access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.

- Major local bus changes from 30 August
Advance publicity is advisable because residents may need to change regular journeys:
- Service 125 between Weston-super-Mare, Winscombe and Wrington will be withdrawn.
- The 125s between Winscombe and Churchill Academy will be withdrawn.
- The U2 between Bristol, Langford and Weston-super-Mare will receive a revised timetable.
- From 31 August, the Wrington WESTlink zone will expand to include Sandford and Winscombe.

- Ladymead Lane advance notice
Ladymead Lane in Langford is due to close from Wednesday 2 September for three days. Work is scheduled between 8am and 5pm for Bristol Water to install a new supply.

7. Free summer bus travel for children
Under-16s can travel free on almost all qualifying local bus journeys until 6 September. No pass or advance registration is required. Some cross-boundary journeys and services are excluded.

8. Master Composter applications
North Somerset residents can apply to become volunteer Master Composters. No previous expertise is needed. Training takes place at Yeo Valley Organic Gardens on 1 September. Applications close at 6pm on Sunday 23 August.
