We have been asked to share this from the Mobile Library Team –
We want to inform you that this week from Wednesday 19th – Friday 21st August, the Mobile Library service will be running from a temporary vehicle whilst our regular large library vehicle is off the road for scheduled vehicle maintenance.
We will continue to complete our usual timetabled stops but the service will be reservation Click & Collect only, as it was in 2025, with very minimal stock for browsing.
Children will still be able to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge during this period, and there will be some children’s stock on board to choose some new books, so please do come along and hopefully we’ll be able to give out some medals and certificates to some finishers!
We will be using the same vehicle that we used during our interim period in late 2024 and 2025 so if you visited us at that time, you will recognise the van with the white and blue ‘Safer Stronger North Somerset’ branding – we will be parked in our usual spots but please keep an eye out for us in the alternate vehicle!
Our large regular vehicle will be on the road as normal on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th so if you wish to browse the shelves, you may wish to meet us on those days to choose some new titles. (Your reservations can also be made available on these days provided that you contact us in advance by emailing mobile.library@n-somerset.gov.uk or calling 01275 888 864)
We would also like to remind you that we are holding a ‘Brush up your smile’ Oral Health Workshop at 10am at Long Ashton Community Centre on Thursday 20th August. The session will be suitable for pre-school and primary school aged children with some goodies to take home at the end. Earn one of your six Summer Reading Challenge stickers by coming along to this event!
Thank you for your continued support of the Mobile Library, we look forward to seeing you soon.
