The nearest hospital is in Weston-super-Mare and has an Accident and Emergency department. In Bristol, there are hospitals at Frenchay and Southmead. In the centre of Bristol, there is an Oncology Centre, a designated Children’s Hospital and specialist Dental and Eye hospitals. There are hospices in Weston-super-Mare and Westbury-on-Trym and a respite home for children near Wraxall.

Out of Hours Arrangements

Patients nationally call 111 to contact the out of hours GP service. You can also access it online on the NHS 111 page.

Patients who contact the OOH service via 111 and are then advised to be seen by a clinician can have an OOH appointment at one of two bases: Clevedon Hospital or New Court Surgery, The Boulevard in central Weston super Mare. Patients seen after 11 pm through the overnight period are seen at the old Weston Hospital GP OOH clinic base.

Chemists

As there is no chemist in Churchill or Langford the surgery has arranged for patients to pick up their repeat prescriptions from Churchill post office.
